Match Fees

Match Fees are payable via the Pitchero Website or Club App. Payments can also be made on card or by cash to the appropriate agegroup manager or Team Captain.

Joining Ellerslie Cricket Club

Anybody wishing to join the club please contact John Leaver (Club Secretary).

Senior Training

Senior Training sessions take place throughout the summer at Little Bounds every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm.

Senior Indoor Training Sessions take place during the winter months at the indoor nets at Trent Bridge. Nets are open to any senior member. Please contact a member of the senior committee for more details.

Equity and Ethics

Players, officials, members, supporters and employees must adhere to the club Code of Conduct that prohibits racially abusive comments and actions against fellow players, officials, members and employees. Failure to comply with this instruction will result in disciplinary action being taken against the offender(s) as specified in the Club Constitution (clause 22.)

Code of Conduct for Club Officials & Volunteers

The essence of good ethical conduct and practice is summarised below. All volunteers must:

  • Consider the well-being and safety of participants before the development of performance.
  • Develop an appropriate working relationship with performers, based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Make sure all activities are appropriate to the age, ability and experiance of all those taking part.
  • Promote the positive aspects of cricket (e.g. fair play).
  • Display consistantly high standards of behaviour and appearance.
  • Follow all guidelines laid down by the England & Wales Cricket Board and Ellerslie Cricket Club.
  • Hold the appropriate, valid qualifications and insurance cover.
  • Never exert undue influence over performers to obtain personal benefit or reward.
  • Never condone rule violations, rough play or the use of prohibitive substances.

Code of Conduct for Parents/Carers/Spectators

  • Encourage your child to learn the rules of the game and play within them.
  • Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.
  • Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
  • Never force your child to take part in sport.
  • Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performance of all.
  • Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
  • Publicly accept officials judgments.
  • Support your childs involvement and help them enjoy their sport.
  • Use correct and proper language at all times.

Junior Club Rules

Ellerslie Cricket Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all it's members. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect, be encouraged to open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with Nisha Parekh, our safeguarding officer.

As a member of Ellerslie Cricket Club you are expected to abide by the following junior club rules:

  • All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
  • All members must respect oppenents.
  • Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
  • Members must wear suitable kit:
  • For matches - white attire as associated with cricket.
  • For training - white top, white or track suit bottoms & trainers.
  • Members must pay annual subscriptions and any fees for training sessions and matches.
  • Junor members are not allowed to smoke on club premises or whilst representing the club.
  • Junior members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club.
