The 2026 season is now just days away, with our 1st XI taking on Kimberley Institute at Little Bounds starting at 11:30am as we play in the Nottinghamshire Premier League for the first time in club history.
The 1s are expertly led by club legend John Wakeling, who says, "This group has earned its place and isn’t here to make up the numbers. Expect intent, energy, and a side that backs itself every time it steps on the pitch. Let’s get after it."
Our 2nd XI is once again captained by Usman Aziz.
"The goal is promotion and the squad is balanced and full of options, leading me to believe we will achieve this following lessons learnt from previous seasons. After a difficult couple of years as a club rebuilding the senior squad I think we are in a strong position to compete."
3rd XI is under the guidance of Kieren Singh, returning to the role he stepped into at short notice at the start of last season. He says, "I’m looking forward to building on what we achieved last season and leading the 3rd XI with a positive & competitive mindset. My aim for 2025/26 is to create a strong team spirit where everyone enjoys their cricket, contributes, and continues to improve week by week. If we stay committed, support each other, and play with the right attitude, I’m confident we can be competitive in every game and push for promotion."
