Fine unbeaten run ends at East Bridgford

On a slow wicket at EB, 143/7 was vulnerable although a lot better than looked likely at 46/2 after 20 overs. Good work from Vivek Parekh and Richard Whittle at least set a target for our seamers. This was a young attack supporting captain Eddy G who at 25 is almost a veteran - and they nearly managed it reducing the home team to 115/6. However, it was not to be and a surprise defeat to lowly EB. To make matters a little worse West Bridgford beat runaway leaders Bramcote and knocked the 2nd XI out of second spot.
