Raza's rush to victory

With captain Eddy George back, our Seconds took on Collingham on what is regarded as one of the better batting tracks. Restricting the home team to 187/6 was thought to be a good effort. Usman Aziz was the pick with 3 wickets and Clark hit an aggressive 65 not out to give much needed late impetus. As with Collingham, the start was steady but after U15 star Ekroop Saib (41) and Ryan Duggan (44 - Eddy says the best he has seen him bat) had departed the score was 130-3 in the 38th over - so a bit of a challenge. However, a run a ball 27 by Matt Footitt and big hitting by M T Raza (33 in 13 balls) ensured a win with 2 1/2 overs left - almost a cruise home! 2 out of 2 and 36 points. Nice one.
