A touch of the Groundhogs

A third defeat in a row with features that remind the writer of Groundhog Day the movie albeit a bit on the loose side. Eddy George lost his 9th successive toss of the season. He tells me the probability of that is 500-1. Inevitably after recent rains they were inserted. That has happened all bar on one occasion, I believe. Another sadly familiar story was a very slow start: 50-2 off 25 overs. Late acceleration ensured a target to defend - if a modest one. Credit to Ryan Duggan for a first 50 of the season. The bowlers fought back well (Eddy, MT and Ekroop all testing)n and victory beckoned as WB lurched to 70/7 with there being two rain breaks. Unfortunately, not for the first time of late, the opposition fought back and Spencer and Boothright won the day with no further alarms. 5 W 5 L is the season so far and incredibly all games played.
